During the 1940s Dan Breslin set out from his home, in Roughra near Adara in County Donegal. He travelled to Scotland and England where he met his wife to be, Norah. Returning to Ireland after the war they settled in Tipperary where Dan and Norah began a family and then worked together in a firm called Daniel Breslin and Sons Ltd., established 1950. They raised 11 children and all members played a part in bringing the respective Breslin companies to where they stand today.
Daniel (Dad), passed away in 1982 and our brother Donal passed in 1989 but we all feel as though they are only a moment's thought from us.
John began International Haulage in 1979 and when Daniel died in 1982 he returned to work alongside his brothers and sisters. A new company was incorporated in 1992 called Breslin Brothers ltd. with co-directors, John, Austin and Paddy Breslin. Joe formed A1 Low Loader and Mini Digger Hire. Peter went to San Francisco in the early eighties and formed a company called A1transfer. Martin began VSSMonitoring in 2006, a company which has since become the world's largest in the manufacture of network taps.
